Tree of Life: being watered today

Genesis 2:9 New King James Version (NKJV)  And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Revelation 22:14 New King James Version (NKJV)  14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

“Tree of Life” was the theme for the Revival Fellowship New Zealand 2016 convention.

I came across this lovely tree of life the other day when I was looking for a nice, quick project as an inbetweener for a cardigan I am crocheting for my daughter.

One step got me slightly confused (the link from row 2 to 3), but I put that down to being distracted by the cat trying to eat the wool / my arm / the computer at the time!  But second time round it worked a treat.

I even got to learn a new stitch!  The reverse single crochet (or crab stitch).

So now it is hanging from the tie-back in the kitchen.

The pattern is from 365 crochet and is free, easy and Farrah uses some lovely detailed pictures to illustrate the pattern.

I found this youtube video  from Planet June was great to illustrate the reverse single crochet (for those that are visual learners!).

And the constant rain that we have had today is watering the tree!

Enjoy!
